Greetings and welcome to the website of Greater Miami (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
The legacy of The Links, Incorporated as an international, not-for-profit corporation, founded in 1946, is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of people of the African Diaspora.
Greater Miami Chapter celebrated its 60th anniversary, “Dazzling at 60”, in November, 2015. We celebrated by honoring the past and planning for the future. We celebrated the original vision of our chapter founders by preserving the legacy of our ancestors with the publication, Linkages & Legacies Volume ll, Historical Profiles Depicting Greater Miami, Florida, Pioneers of African Descent. The second in the Linkages & Legacies series, Volume ll contains 60 profiles, documenting their contributions and community involvement in the development of Miami-Dade County. A copy of Volume ll was presented to all the schools, libraries and museums in Miami-Dade County providing reference resources for the future. Above all, we celebrated our steadfast dedication and bond of being united through friendship and service.
Sisterly in friendship and service,
Vandra Gordon Woolfolk
